goal setting for live, live your dream today.

Goal setting should become a way of life, if it isn't already for you. If it is , wonderful you will discover tools or reminders to take you to the next level of goal setting. For many times having information shared by a different individual, from a different point of view will allow you to receive the information in a different light, not to mention even the same information is received differently, if you are a different person than you were when you were first exposed to the information, so this it truly a win win for all involved.

So buckle up lets get started. To begin with we need to identify what we want out of this journey we call life and for each of us it will be different, it's not at all about becoming a millionaire or movie star although if that's your goal or dream, then so it! We shall make it so. . . . But on the other hand if you simply want to become a better husband, wife, boyfriend , girlfriend, son, daughter, employee, employer, whatever your goal my be, that to is equally as important. Here's the fun part, the process for reaching your goals are the same, whether you want to be a billionaire or a vegetarian.

We begin with short term and long term goals. Short term can be anywhere from 1hr to 6 months. Why 1hr? Because depending on what you goal may be, say making 100 phone calls, you may want to achieve 15 in the first hr and 45 by lunch time or clean half of your garage by 12 noon or get in front of 1 client by 10am each day and 3 clients by noon. Likewise if your goal is $1, 000, 000 dollars you might want to have $50, 000 put away by the time 6 months rolls around or $25, 000 or $10, 000 you decide the amount which will suit the pace at which you want to reach your goals, if your going for a million dollars in your life time (if your in your early 30's as an example) then 25 thousand put away every 6 months, will easily reach your goal. But if your goal is a million dollars in the next 18 months then clearly you have to adjust your short term goal.

Long term works in a similar way, simply multiply what your results would be if you went the entire day , week, month, year or even decade. Then decide how you will raise the level of your game if you will. Meaning some of us adjust our goal by an additional 10%, to even a much higher amount. Knowing that they will be improving as we go along , so the math that we use for our long term goals can be increased, many say exponentially. You decide what pace you will set for yourself, how? by determining what will get you out of bed in the morning. If it's not exciting enough to get you out of bed, then perhaps you need to reevaluate your goals and dreams a bit more. Granted not all goals are tantalizing but rather come into the category of things that need to get done and I can see how those may not get you out of bed with a spring in your step, but nonetheless they have to get done and that falls behind the "will power" curtain which will be discussed in the future.

Now we return to tangible and intangible, tangible meaning reward yourself along the way. Hey, I reached this goal by the end of the day, I'm going for pizza or buy a outfit or swim in the pool or bring my loved one flowers, you get the point. On the flip side depending on the size of you dream, the reward may be the same but it may also be drastically different, close this business deal by the end of the day or week and I treat myself to a trip to Hawaii! For each of us the level of reward will be different , just be cognizant that you don't wont to over reward and hence impede your progress such as, your goal is millionaireship, you save 50 thousand in 6 months and you reward yourself by taking a trip to Vegas and promptly lose 49 thousand, ok! And yes intangible is equally as important. I reach this specific goal to have this amount of peace of mind or security, not in the monetary sense but security in my relationship, job or business perhaps. There are steps that we will achieve in reaching our goals that will result in many intangible rewards that would be impossible to place a value on, even a simple thank you, smile or admiration from a loved one or simply the satisfaction within ones own self.

So unsnap your seat belt lets go get started. Cheers!Sammy/Founder W V M I.World wide Organization.
